The Bandar Seri Begawan Municipal Department organised the Neon Walk 55 in commemorating the name change from Bandar Brunei to Bandar Seri Begawan. It was held at Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas, 13th December night.

It was flagged-off by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs. The walk began and ended at Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas. Over one thousand participants took part in the walk.
